CalSol genuinely thanks Panasonic for its support and providing us with 1500 state-of-the-art battery cells! With these battery cells, we can now make three battery packs with lots of spare cells for the upcoming World Solar Challenge! Lockheed Martin is a global security firm engaged in research and development of advanced technology solutions. Lockheed Martin has been a longtime financial supporter of CalSol and other projects within the College of Engineering.
The Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS), headquartered in Sutardja Dai Hall focuses on creating information technology solutions to pressing societal issues. CITRIS has provided funding for our project and access to their supercomputer clusters on campus.
California Color Source, Inc. is a supplier to the Collision Repair Industry in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area. They provide materials, training and profit improvement solutions to collision repair facilities. California Color Source donated the paint used to paint Impulse.
Smart Solar International is focused on developing Concentrator Photovoltaic Systems for commercial and utility applications. Smart Solar has provided financial support to the CalSol team.
Tektronix Inc. is a leading supplier of test and measurement equipment. They have provided us with a light, portable, battery-powered, TPS2024 oscilloscope that we will be utilizing heavily in Australia.
Novarm Diptrace is a professional PCB design tool. CalSol has used donated Diptrace licences for the design of all of the printed circuit boards used in the electrical system of our newest car.
Mathworks creates technical computing software for scientists and engineers including MATLAB and Simulink. Mathworks has donated licences of MATLAB to the team which we use for calculations and writing simulation tools.
Solidworks creates 3D modeling software used for engineering applications. The company has donated software licences of SolidWorks which the team uses to model and run FEA on all of the mechanical parts used in the car.

The Associated Students of the University of California, Berkeley provides CalSol with student services and funding through ESC.
Alpha Wire manufactures a variety of wire and cable products. They have donated many spools of fully recyclable EcoWire for the wiring of solar cells and batteries.
Microchip Technology Inc. is a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors. The company has provided us with many useful chips and parts and development kits for our electrical system.
Distance Education, an online education hub, has provided the team with financial backing.
Hexcel is a leading advanced composites company. Hexcel donated Carbon Fiber used for our shell's layup.
