Welcome back to California! Those of us in Berkeley have been excitedly waiting for Impulse to return from its three month journey around the world. Many of our members couldn’t travel to Australia, so we stayed behind training new members and working on projects for the American Solar Challenge. We, like so many of our fans, anxiously followed this blog to stay up to date with the 2011 Veolia World Solar Challenge. After 3 months and 16 days since Impulse left our work site we had the pleasure of unloading our car and gear from a shipping container. Some of our freshmen and new members saw the solar car for the first time in person.
The team is working on a full inventory of the equipment. From there we’ll analyze what improvements we can make on Impulse and future cars. For the moment though, finals for UC Berkeley start next week, so we’re going to buckle down and study!
