Thank you MathWorks for giving CalSol a large number of computational tools. MATLAB, Simulink, and the rest of the suite will allow us to create programs that analyze mechanical kinematics and dynamics, optimize our solar array, crunch data from our testing, and help us perfect our race strategy. Thank you for your support!

Thanks Metal Supermarkets

CalSol would like to thank Metal Supermarkets for their generous donation of metal to be used in our motor refurbishment project. Their large selection and rapid servicing time allowed us to quickly get the exact materials that we will need to make our motor capable of supporting a forked trailing arm suspension. CalSol was extremely pleased with the service offered by Metals Supermarkets and will look to use them in the future as we move into the construction phase for our newest vehicle.

Kids Creek Fest 2010

Our newest recruit

CalSol had a wonderful time at Kids Creek Fest, an Earth-friendly event that exposed children and their families to various environmental issues. GoldRush was on display at the festival as an alternative-energy vehicle. Our car dazzled the kids and their parents (especially with some cool figure-eights). Thank you to our Adopt-A-Cell supporters for their gracious donations. We would also like to thank Carol Thompson and the organizers of Kids Creek Fest for giving us the opportunity to take part this year.
